Making art, writing about art, and teaching art are the three pillars of my practice. 

My university may be gone, but I'm not done teaching.

For whatever your art goal, my mission is to help you make progress towards it. I'm an indie animation professional, author, and former professor with 20+ years of experience. Take a look around at this website and see if it looks like my areas of specialization and artistic style are relevant to your work and goals. I also welcome any questions you may have about the process before you book a meeting.

This is highly individual, and will be customized for your own scenario. As Program Director of a BFA Animation program, I advised Admissions on portfolios, and advised applicants on what we were looking for. Now, I can advise you on your portfolio, and help you improve it down to the individual piece. As a professor in the program, I taught studio classes as well as Animation Professional Practices class, so I can advise you on your brand identity, portfolio website, and promotional materials too.

Choose one or three 45-minute long live video chats, recorded for you to keep and consult later, plus a follow-up document for each meeting containing my additional recommendations and any draw-overs on your artwork. The idea is to maximize our live time together in discussion, and then use offline time for me to concentrate on things that are best executed after the meeting, with the follow-up documents.

Use the one meeting to get a shot of directed structure, or use the three meeting option to create a structure with accountability for progress, like a mini-class, and I can assign goals for you to reach before our next meetings which we schedule at intervals of weeks, or even a month, if you like.
