VIZ DEV: Harley Quinn
Warner Bros Animation needed some concept art for Harley Quinn early on in development as the production was still exploring a visual direction for the series. Chris McD was brought on to visually develop some narrative beats from the script.
Chris has completed additional visual development work for a second unproduced WBA series, as well as visual development work for an unproduced feature film for TriStar Pictures.
CHARACTER DESIGN: Lady Dynamite
Funny Trio Productions needed characters designed and animated for various segments across the two complete seasons of the Netflix series Lady Dynamite. Chris designed all characters for the segments which he also animated.
VIZ DEV: Pitch
Chris developed a series concept with artwork and writing that went through several evolutions as it was pitched to various networks. These selections of art demonstrate a variety of character and world building concepts.
CHARACTER DESIGN: Mascot Design
Woodsphere Publishing needed a mascot character designed for the redistricting lizard, Gerry Mander. Chris McD designed multiple concepts for this mascot character, considering the practical needs of having a human performer inside the costume.
Additional expressions were added to the project (we know that mascots don't make expressions) for a potential pivot on the project into animation.
